A very good guide to look at is one put out by Vanier College as an Exit Test guide. It not only gives you information as to how you might prepare but also gives the readings as a practice sample. It gives a guide to passing, a tip sheet, time management, techniques and devices, means used to author's point across, essay formats, transitional words and phrases. instructions, marking criteria and writing guidelines.

Tip #1: The Introduction paragraph thesis
1.Use a ‘hook’ opener that connects to the theme
E.g. 1 We all experience ……..
E.g. 2 Part of growing up is……
2. Include the title, author and prompt. Answer the prompt in your introduction
